Signalling fault in the Lewes area.

Owing to a signalling fault in the Lewes area we are currently unable to operate from Lewes/Wivelsfield towards Cooksbridge and Plumpton and between Lewes and Seaford.

Services on  routes to and from London Victoria will be diverted via Brighton with extended journey times whilst Brighton and Hove Buses will accept tickets between Lewes and Brighton on route 20 and between Brighton and Eastbourne via Newhaven on route 12.

Network Rail engineers are due on site 10.20am and we will then provide further updates.

ASLEF overtime ban

We have received formal notification from the ASLEF union of an overtime ban for its driver members from 00.01 on Thursday 29th June until further notice.If this action goes ahead we will run as full a timetable as possible. However, unfortunately some services will be amended or cancelled. This will affect Southern and Gatwick Express services. Thameslink and Great Northern are unaffected by this industrial action.

RMT announce new strike on Monday 10 July 2017

The RMT union announced a 24-hour strike between 00:01 and 23:59 on Monday 10 July 2017.
We are working around the clock to evaluate the impact and develop our contingency plans. We will publish information here as it becomes available.



Important changes to overnight Southern services

To allow Network Rail to undertake essential maintenance and upgrade work to give passengers more reliable journeys, there will be changes to overnight Southern services from Sunday 21 May.
