Person hit by a train earlier between Havant and Southampton Central

All lines have reopened. Disruption is expected until 1815 with delays up to 20 minutes, alterations and possible cancellations.

Great Western Railway and South West Trains are accepting tickets via any reasonable route.Tickets also being accepted on Stagecoach bus routes 21,23 and 700. Replacement buses are in operation between Havant and Southampton Central.

Earlier train fault at West Croydon

The train has now been moved to the depot. All lines are open.

Disruption is expected until 2000 with delays up to 25 minutes, alterations and possible cancellations. 

Tickets are being accepted on London Overground, Tramlink, Thameslink, London Midland Euston to Milton Keynes Central and London Underground until further notice.

Compensation announcement

Southern has introduced a more generous Delay Repay scheme, from 11 December 2016, which offers passengers compensation for journeys delayed over 15 minutes rather than 30 minutes.

We have also introduced a new compensation scheme for season ticket holders.
