This is an important announcement
We know that hot weather can make travelling uncomfortable, especially at busy times. Here are some tips to keep comfortable on our services this weekend.
* If you feel unwell on the platform, don’t board the train. Seek help from station staff.
* If you feel unwell on board the train, get off at the next stop and seek help from station staff.
* Avoid pulling the passenger alarm between stations - help can be more easily obtained when the train is at a platform.
* Stay hydrated. Carry a bottle of water with you when you’re travelling.
Reduced service on some Southern routes
Southern train services continue to be severely affected by a high level of conductor and driver sickness. This is leading to a reduced service on a number of routes. A change of train en-route may be required for some journeys.
We will continue to update live departure boards and the journey planner at nationalrail.co.uk with service amendments as soon as they are known.
Rail tickets are being accepted on bus services operated by Brighton and Hove buses between Shoreham and Brighton (Route 2) and between Brighton and Eastbourne via Seaford (Route 12) and on bus services operated by Metrobus between Redhill and Reigate, Southern only ticket holders may also travel with Great Western Railway on train services between Redhill and Reigate.
