Important alert

RMT and ASLEF industrial Action

Due to the industrial action by drivers in the ASLEF and RMT unions, regrettably we expect Southern services to be severely disrupted on every day until further notice.

On Friday 9 December there will be a reduced service operating with no service on some routes. Further details on are available on our travel advice page. Please ensure you check your journey before setting off.

Services are expected to be particularly disrupted on the drivers’ strike dates with no services on most routes. There is also likely to be increased disruption over the Christmas and New Year period. Other operators’ services are not affected, but may be busier.

We are very sorry for the continued disruption to your journeys.

For more information please check our strike page.

Compensation announcement

Southern will be introducing the more generous Delay Repay scheme, 'Delay Repay 15', on 11 December which will offer passengers compensation for delayed journeys over 15 minutes rather than the current 30 minutes.

We will also be introducing a new compensation scheme for season ticket holders in early January.
