Southern Kids' Tourist Board reviews

Elliot Kerr, 10 from Eastbourne

On Sunday 8th July, I travelled with my dad to see the cricket at Hove. We travelled by train from Seaford to Brighton where we changed trains to get to Hove. I gave 5/5 for both trains because we got seats and they were both dead on time!

When we got to Hove cricket club we first went to find the boundary room, which I thought looked like a hut but it was very nice and comfortable. At 2:40pm the match was meant to start but as the players came out it started to pour down with rain… so everyone crowded into the boundary room!

When the rain stopped I rushed outside to get our seat again. The match started at about 3:35pm and Sussex got 104 runs in 9 overs. The rain kept coming down and we had to go back indoors, but not too much later the players were back on the pitch and it was Surrey’s turn to bat. Surrey ended up needing 62 runs off 5 overs but luckily they got 64 runs and won!

There are lots of eating places so we had some chips, a hotdog and a hot chocolate. They were all lovely! The whole day was BRILLIANT! PHENOMENAL! FANTASTIC! 5/5

Rating 5/5
