It’s official – Southern’s Advance fares are the UK’s best value for money

A new report by independent rail watchdog, Passenger Focus has revealed that of the 23 UK train companies, Southern’s Advance fares are the best value for money, with a massive 87 per cent of passengers saying they are satisfied with value for their money on its Advance tickets over the last 12 months.

The Passenger Focus report which was published earlier this month is its response to the Government’s rail fares and ticketing review. It showed that not only were Southern’s Advance fares considered to be the best value for money, but they were ahead of the next best by a full four percentage points.

Southern’s Development Director, Alex Foulds said: “Of course we are absolutely delighted, but not surprised that our Advance fares are the best value for money in the UK and have been for the last 12 months. When you consider that we are currently offering London to Brighton from only £4 online at southernrailway.com, why would you want to travel any other way?”
