Epsom Derby - Important information

The Epsom Derby takes place on Saturday 2 June. In previous years, you may have travelled to Epsom station to take a bus to the racecourse. This year, major station improvement works are taking place and, as a result, egress from the station will be limited, with road closures, possible extended waiting times and an event queuing system. This will increase journey times so please make the sure you allow adequate time to and from the Race meeting. The nearest station to the racecourse is Tattenham Corner.

Mark Epsom, Southern’s Sutton Area Manager said: “We want everyone to have a great day out and have a trouble free journey to and from the racecourse. It’s unfortunate that the building works at Epsom station mean that access is restricted, but as long as passengers realise their overall journey time may be extended, their enjoyment shouldn't be compromised too much.”
