Super Off-Peak tickets are designed for travel after the morning peak and outside of the evening peak.
Super Off-Peak ticket options:
- Super Off-Peak Day Single: Valid for one journey outside the morning and evening peak.
- Super Off-Peak Day Return: Valid for one outward journey and one return journey, both outside of morning and evening peak and both on the same day. A great ticket option for day trips returning later in the evening.
- Super Off-Peak Day Travelcard: Unlimited train, tube, bus and tram travel within the London Fare Zones. Valid after the morning peak and outside the evening peak. For more information see Travelcards.
When can I travel with my Super Off-Peak ticket?
When travelling with Southern, Super Off-Peak tickets allow travel to London Victoria on any train arriving at or after 10:55. Return journeys to stations outside the London Travelcard area (Zones 1-6) are not permitted on trains timed to depart London Victoria and London Bridge between 16:15 and 19:15 (inclusive) Monday to Friday. Journeys made wholly within the Travelcard area are not restricted.
The time restrictions for your ticket will vary depending on which Train Operating Company the ticket is valid for. To view what time your ticket is valid for travel, search your journey on southernrailway.com and view the journey details for your various ticket options.
Time restrictions apply to Off-Peak travel on Monday to Friday, but these tickets are valid for travel at any time on Weekends and Bank Holidays.
Passengers with Super Off-Peak tickets from Uckfield line stations to London Terminals are permitted to travel on the 09:34 London Bridge service or later.

Terms and Conditions
Buy your Super Off-Peak tickets up to 12 weeks ahead of travel, via our website and collect your tickets at your local Ticket Vending Machine. Register now to buy your tickets online. Alternatively you can buy Super Off-Peak tickets from the Ticket Vending Machine at the station, or from one of our Ticket Offices.
First and Standard Class travel
Both First and Standard Class Super Off-Peak tickets are available on selected journeys across the UK. First Class tickets must be bought prior to entry into First Class accommodation, otherwise a Penalty Fare may be payable. For holder of Standard Class tickets, you must upgrade to First Class by paying the difference in fare before you enter First Class accommodation.
Break of journey
When travelling with Southern on Super Off-Peak tickets, a Break of Journey is not permitted on outward or return journeys, however it is excepted on a Southern Super Off-Peak Travelcard ticket. A ‘Break of Journey’ means exiting and re-entering an intermediate station to continue your journey on the same day after a break. Break of journey also may not be permitted when travelling with other Train Operators.
Railcard discounts apply to Super Off-Peak tickets with 16-25, Annual Gold Card, HM Forces, Disabled, Family & Friends, Network, and Senior Railcards. Please check Terms and Conditions of your Railcard for details of any Minimum Fare rules and time restrictions.
GroupSave discounts, which save you 34% when travelling in groups of 3 to 9, apply to many Super Off-Peak tickets in the South East. You must travel together throughout your journey for the discounted tickets to be valid.
