Contact Assisted Travel Team

Contact us in advance

At many stations and on many trains you will find staff to help you, however, there are some trains without staff to assist you and some stations are not manned all the time. Therefore, if you let us know you're coming we can make sure we are ready with someone there to assist you. To advise us of your travel plans, or to ask for information about Southern accessibility, please get in touch. Ideally we ask for 24 hours notice.

If you are booking assistance you will be asked for the following information:

  • Your contact details
  • Where you are travelling to and from
  • The type of assistance required
  • The dates and times of travel
  • The details of your return journey (if applicable)
  • The numbers in your party, or if you are travelling alone

Assistance booking form

To help you book assistance you can fill in the Assistance booking form to submit your details directly to the Assisted Travel Team. A member of the team will arrange the assistance you require and contact you with confirmation and/or any queries they have.

We advise that you give us 24 hours notice before travel – this ensures we have sufficient time to make arrangements and contact you to discuss any individual needs further.

Your personal and journey data will be gathered and held within the assisted travel booking system for two years, and made available to all Train Operating Companies and Network Rail for all your bookings, in order that they can arrange and carry out assistance on your behalf. If you do not wish for your data to be shared please call us on 0800 138 1016.

Please note we are unable to book assistance on London Underground services. If you have any questions for filling in this form to book assistance please contact the Assisted Travel Team on 0800 138 1016.
