A locomotive became derailed near Bletchley in the early hours of Friday morning. Because of this, there will be an amended service between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston today. There is currently no estimate for the completion of repairs however it is likely services will continue to be affected on Sunday.
A second disruption is affecting this route. Overhead wire problems are causing disruption between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead.
Journey times for London Midland services may be extended by up to 25 minutes. Souther trains are not running between Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction.

Ticket Arrangements
Customers should travel using their booked Virgin Trains or London Midland service however Virgin Trains are accepting London Midland customers between Birmingham and London Euston. Customers with reservations on cancelled services should travel on the same route as close to their booked time as possible.
Virgin Trains passengers who decided not to travel on friday may apply for a full refund from the point of sale, or may use their ticket up to Tuesday 7th February (travelling at the same time as the original reservation where possible - normal peak time ticket restrictions will apply).

There is a gas leak in the Fratton area.
Because of this, the following alterations will apply until approximately 09:00:
First Great Western are no longer affected by this disruption.
Passengers may use local Stagecoach buses between Portsmouth and Cosham. Southern and South West Trains are accepting each others customers on reasonable routes. Passengers may also use First Great Western services on reasonable routes.

A signalling problem is causing disruption in the Gatwick Airport area.
Because of this, trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes. There is no current estimate for when a normal service will resume.

BAKER STREET STATION: Thursday 2 February until Monday 25 May, there is a reduced escalator access to the Bakerloo and Jubilee lines at Baker Street station. Customers should use alternative Tube stations to access the Bakerloo and Jubilee lines, including Finchley Road to interchange between Jubilee and Metropolitan lines.
CHARING CROSS UNDERGROUND STATION: Until further notice, the Trafalgar Square entrance of Charing Cross station is closed for escalator replacement work. Please use the main entrance on The Strand (underneath Charing Cross National Rail station)
WATERLOO UNDERGROUND STATION: Please note that the Shell Centre entrance on York Road does not open on Sundays, please use the Waterloo Road or National Rail station entrances instead.
CENTRAL LINE: Suspended between Leytonstone and Liverpool Street due to a faulty train at Stratford. Severe delays are occurring on the rest of the line.
OXFORD CIRCUS STATION: Reduced escalator service until early February.
BOND STREET STATION: Reduced escalator service until mid-May.
HOLBORN STATION: Reduced escalator service until further notice. During escalator works, entry to the station may be temporarily restricted at busy times to prevent overcrowding.
BANK / MONUMENT STATION: Until late April 2012 there is no 'down' escalator service between Monument station and the DLR platforms at Bank. Access to the DLR will be via two sets of fixed stairs and a subway link. This route is not suitable for those with luggage or pushchairs. Please use either the step-free lift from King William Street to the DLR platforms or take the District line to Tower Hill and then change there for the DLR from Tower Gateway.
CENTRAL LINE: Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February, no service between Hainault and Woodford via Chigwell. Rail replacement buses operate.
FARRINGDON UNDERGROUND STATION: Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February, closed.

COVENT GARDEN STATION: Restricted exit at Covent Garden 16 January until mid April. During work to the pavement immediately outside Covent Garden, exit from the station will be very restricted. To avoid delays please use Leicester Square station instead. Leicester Square is approximately 250m away and the walking route to Covent Garden is shown at the station.
GOING TO COVENT GARDEN? Covent Garden station gets very busy at weekends and in the evenings, but you can avoid the crowds by walking there from Leicester Square (6 minutes) or Holborn (9 minutes). The short walk is clearly signposted above ground and maps are on display at both stations.
TOTTENHAM HALE STATION: Reduced escalator service until mid-March.
OXFORD CIRCUS STATION: Reduced escalator service until early February.

VICTORIA LINE: Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February, suspended. Rail replacement buses operate.
VAUXHALL STATION: The subway between Vauxhall National Rail station and Underground station is closed for modernisation work by Network Rail until early April 2012. Consequently a one-way system is in place to enter/exit Vauxhall Underground station on weekdays between 0730-0930 and 1600-1900. This involves crossing roads to interchange between the National Rail station and the Underground. To avoid changing at Vauxhall use these alternative routes Travelling to/from central London change between the Underground and National Rail at Waterloo. Travelling to Underground stations west of Earl's Court change at Clapham Junction for London Overground services then change at West Brompton for Underground services. Travelling from Underground stations west of Earl's Court change at West Brompton for London Overground services then change at Clapham Junction for National Rail services.
