A revised Southern service will operate during the Christmas and New Year period, and Gatwick Express services will not run between Wednesday 25 December and Wednesday 1 January inclusive.
During this time Network Rail will undertake vital improvement works on the Brighton main line replacing a major rail junction near Purley, upgrading signalling at Victoria and working on a new platform at Gatwick Airport station.
Passengers are advised to allow more time than normal for their journey. Specific journey details are available at nationalrail.co.uk or by calling 08457 48 49 50.
Please accept our apologies for the disruption this work may cause to your journey as these network improvements are made.
