Service Alterations

 

Delays between Gatwick Airport and Horsham / Haywards Heath expected until 21:00

Emergency services are dealing with an incident at Three Bridges which is causing delays of up to 60 minutes between Gatwick Airport and Horsham / Haywards Heath. These delays will continue until approximately 21:00.

Alternative travel options

First Capital Connect passengers can use Local Buses and Metro Buses via any reasonable routes

Southern passengers can use Metro Buses, First Capital Connect, Southeastern and South West Trains via any reasonable routes and First Great Western services between Redhill and Guildford

First Great Western passengers can use Southern services between Redhill and Gatwick Airport

Waterloo Station Information

WATERLOO UNDERGROUND STATION: No step-free access to the Jubilee line from 27 January until late July. This is while we replace the lift to the Jubilee line; please use nearby Westminster and Southwark stations for step-free access. In addition, there is a reduced escalator service until late May, please use alternative escalators where available. Follow alternative route signs or staff instruction where necessary.

Embankment Station Closed

EMBANKMENT STATION: From Wednesday 8 January until Friday 31 October, Bakerloo and Northern line trains will not stop at this station. Please use Charing Cross instead.

Kilburn Park Station Information

KILBURN PARK STATION: From Sunday 27 October until late June 2014, there will no down escalator service whilst refurbishment work is completed. Access to the platforms will be via the fixed stairway. If you are unable to use stairs, please catch local bus services 16 98 or 332 from Kilburn High Road, Stop W, for Maida Vale.

Queensway Station Information

QUEENSWAY STATION: Major lift refurbishment work at Queensway station until Sunday 9 March and also between Monday 31 March until mid December 2014.One of the two lifts will be out of service at a time and at busy times you may prefer to use nearby Notting Hill Gate station, for Central line services, or Bayswater station (approx 160m) for Circle and District line services.

Bond Street Station Information

BOND STREET STATION: The two escalators which carry passengers down from the ticket hall are being taken out of use between Saturday 1 February and Tuesday 22 April. To keep the station open for customers a one-way system will be in place. All entry/exit will be via the three remaining escalators on the right hand side of the ticket hall. Customers are being asked to follow the special signage to/from platform level. At busy times entrance to the station may be temporarily restricted to prevent overcrowding.

Bond Street Station Information

BOND STREET STATION: From Friday 31 January until Tuesday 22 April 2014, there will be a reduced down escalator service to the Central and Jubilee lines.

Westminster Station Information

WESTMINSTER STATION: Reduced escalator service between the Jubilee line and Circle and District lines from Monday 14 April until late May. This is for planned maintenance work. Please use the remaining escalators.

Moorgate Station Information

MOORGATE STATION: The two escalators between the First Capital Connect platforms and the Northern line platforms will be taken out of service, one at a time from Saturday 29 March until late August. While each escalator is out of service, the remaining escalator will run up from the Northern line to the First Capital Connect platforms. Customers going down to the Northern line will only be able to do so via the spiral staircase at the end of platform 10. During peak hours customers entering the station will only be able to access the Northern line via the stairs and the spiral stairs from the ticket hall.

District Line Partly Suspended

DISTRICT LINE: On Thursday 17 April after 2045, and all day on Good Friday 18, Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and Easter Monday 21 April, no service between Ealing Broadway and Turnham Green to enable track and points improvement work at Ealing Common. Replacement buses operate. Piccadilly line trains will also serve Turnham Green at these times.

LONDON BRIDGE UNDERGROUND STATION: Partial closure of main ticket hall Friday 18 to Monday 21 April. There will be very limited ticket issuing facilities in the main ticket hall. To avoid queuing, please use Borough High Street or National Rail ticket offices to purchase your tickets. Please follow signs for Tube services. This is while Network Rail carry out column strengthening as part of Thameslink improvement works.

CANADA WATER: No down escalator service to Jubilee line platforms from Tuesday 15 April until late August. This is for planned refurbishment work. During this time, please follow directional signage and use the stairs or lift to Jubilee line platforms

Jubilee Line Partly Suspended

JUBILEE LINE: Good Friday 18, Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and Easter Monday 21 April, no service between Finchley Road and Waterloo. Replacement buses operate between Finchley Road and Baker Street only

CANARY WHARF UNDERGROUND STATION: Reduced escalator service until mid April 2014, please use alternative escalators.

Warren Street: No entry Monday – Friday 0730 – 0930 until further notice. Due to escalator repair work the station will operate as exit and interchange only between 0730 – 0930 on weekday mornings. Please use nearby Goodge Street Northern line station instead. If you need the Victoria line take the Northern line from Goodge Street, then change onto the Victoria line at either Warren Street or Euston.

Elephant & Castle Station Information

ELEPHANT & CASTLE UNDERGROUND STATION: Until late September 2014, there will be a reduced lift service from Northern line ticket hall during refurbishment works to improve their reliability. With one lift in use, queues to enter and exit via this ticket hall are likely, and access to the staircase will be limited for safety reasons. To avoid queuing to enter/exit the station, use the Bakerloo line ticket hall where three lifts are available. This route will be signed at both street and platform level. Alternatively use National Rail services from the station on the opposite side of the Shopping Centre. Frequent services run to/from King’s Cross St. Pancras, Blackfriars, City Thameslink , Farringdon and Kentish Town

Mornington Crescent Station Information

MORNINGTON CRESCENT STATION: From Monday 3 February until late June, there will be a reduced lift service. This is while we carry out planned maintenance work on both lifts, one at a time minimising disruption. Please use the remaining lifts. At busy times allow a little extra time for your journey in case you need to queue, alternatively please take care on the stairs.

Old Street Station Information

OLD STREET STATION: From Monday 21 October until early July 2014, while we carry out escalator refurbishment works, there will be no down escalator service between 0830 and 1000, Monday to Friday. Please use the spiral staircase to reach the platforms. If you are unable use the stairs, please use local bus services to nearby Angel or Moorgate stations.

WOODSIDE PARK STATION: Northbound step-free entrance for ticket holders only.

Knightsbridge Station Information

KNIGHTSBRIDGE STATION: No down escalator service from Sloane Street ticket hall from Monday 10 March until early July. This is while we carry out planned maintenance work. Please take care walking down the stairs. Alternatively, please use escalators from the Harrods entrance on Brompton Road or local buses to nearby Hyde Park Corner station.

Covent Garden Station Information

COVENT GARDEN STATION: Exit only at Covent Garden station Monday 24 February until mid-November 2014. Also on Saturdays and Sundays westbound trains will not stop at the station. This is while we replace two lifts. During this time please use nearby Leicester Square station, which is a short walk along Long Acre

Piccadilly Line Partly Suspended

PICCADILLY LINE: On Thursday 17 after 2050, all day Good Friday 18, Saturday 19, Easter Sunday 20 and Easter Monday 21 April, no service between Acton Town and Uxbridge to enable track and points improvement work at Ealing Common. Replacement buses operate. Trains will also stop at Turnham Green during these works, please use the Metropolitan line for travel between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge.

Russell Square Station Information

RUSSELL SQUARE STATION: Each of the lifts at Russell Square station are being refurbished one at a time, until January 2015. This means that queues to enter and exit the station are likely, especially at busy times. To avoid the queues please enter or exit at Holborn which is a short walk to Russell Square area. Maps are available at Holborn station showing the simple walking route.

Warren Street Station Information

Warren Street: No entry Monday – Friday 0730 – 0930 until further notice. Due to escalator repair work the station will operate as exit and interchange only between 0730 – 0930 on weekday mornings.
