Our timetable

Last updated: 25 January 2022

Reduced timetable on all routes until further notice

A reduced service will continue to operate on all routes until further notice owing to the significant ongoing impact of Coronavirus, particularly in terms of staff sickness which businesses and transport operators across the country continue to see.

By reducing the service, we aim to provide more certainty over which trains will and will not run for those that are travelling and reduce unexpected cancellations.

The times of trains on all routes will be changed and, on many routes, services will be reduced. The times of first and last trains may also have changed.

Planning and re-checking your journey

We are updating journey planners (including nationalrail.co.uk) to reflect the timetable we plan to operate on a week-by-week basis. Journey planners are only updated until a certain date. Details of this are available here. Please note that alterations because of engineering work and certain services to and from London Victoria will not be updated in journey planners in line with the timescales detailed. These will be updated in the early hours of each Saturday for the following Monday to Friday.

Online timetables will be added below as soon as they are available. Please note that these timetables do not reflect:

  • Weekend and overnight alterations made owing to engineering work.
  • Any alterations due to on-the-day disruption.

If you are making a journey wholly within Greater London, you should use the journey planner at tfl.gov.uk – which includes options including the Tube and local buses – to plan your journey. These will be updated to the same timescales as other journey planners.

Whichever way you plan your journey, please remember to re-check it before you travel for on-the-day alterations.

How do I find out about engineering works?

Due to Coronavirus, planning engineering work is harder than usual. Always check your journey before you travel, as there may be changes to services due to engineering work and any local disruption on the day. Online journey planners may only be updated with works close to when they are due to happen.

In order to keep you informed we will continue to advise you when engineering work alterations have been updated. As soon as the information is available, details of work taking place will be advertised on our engineering work page here. Information on when online journey planners are currently correct up to is available here.
