Green Chain Walk

Getting away from the capital’s crowds has never been easier with this secret London walk. Take a stroll from Lesnes Abbey to Crystal Palace Park as you explore the leafy slopes in south-east London.

Spanning across 50 miles, completing this walk is no easy feat but this London walking route can be broken down into 11 sections as you work your way up to the full distance. What’s more, you’ll enjoy around 300 open green spaces which make this one of the best places to walk in London with your dog. Take a ball and play fetch to your heart's content while on the Green Chain Walk.

Parkland Walk

One of the best places to walk in north London, the Parkland Walk has you strolling along the course of an old railway that used to run between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace.
This is among the number of nice walks in London as you can explore the city’s longest local nature reserve, where you’ll witness encounter gorgeous butterflies and fascinating animals like the muntjac

It’s a great way to escape into nature even in an urban environment and, thankfully, getting here is even easier with frequent trains to London which are able to bring you close to the starting point.

The Line

The Line is one of the most unique walks in London which makes it a popular choice for a leisurely excursion. Displaying modern and contemporary art along the route, the Line combines the feel-good factor of walking with stimulation for the imagination, which naturally attracts avid walkers from all over London.

This walking route is London’s first dedicated public art walk, running between Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2 while taking you alongside the Greenwich Meridian, which provides great views of the city as you walk .

The London LOOP

The London LOOP is one of the best walks in London and is often referred to as ‘the M25 for pedestrians’. That’s because this London walking trail follows an orbital path around the outskirts of London.

Roughly 150 miles long, this route is intended to be done in stages, which is why it has been helpfully split up into 24 sections. You can look over the map of the route and decide which section you’ll be tackling on your next London walk.
