Introducing the revolutionary new smartcard

The key is the new smartcard available from Southern. Over the coming months the key will become available at more Southern stations and exciting new ticket types will be introduced. Take a look at what is available now and whether you can start to take advantage of what the key can currently offer.

New key smartcard tickets available

Travelling into and around London? Now available on the key smartcard are weekly, monthly and annual season tickets inclusive of a travelcard, which will allow you to use trains, buses, trams and London Underground.

You can also purchase single and return tickets from any key-enabled Southern station outside the London travelcard area to any Southern station in the London zones.

Tickets can be purchased from southernrailway.com or from a Southern self service ticket machine.

keyGo

Southern are happy to announce that keyGo is now available to the key smartcard customers. Initially limited to the first 150 customers for the next few weeks, keyGo will then be open to all customers.

keyGo is Southern's new innovative product which allows customers to pay for their journey via a top up system - similar to a pay as you go. Once you have a key smartcard you will be able to register for keyGo! This will deduct £20 from your nominated payment card and journeys will be debited from this amount until it drops below £5, when a further deduction will be requested.

What tickets can I buy?

You can now purchase Single and Return tickets, plus Weekly, Monthly and Annual Season tickets for journeys to London Victoria, London Bridge, London Waterloo, Vauxhall, Waterloo East, London Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Blackfriars and City Thameslink from the majority of stations outside of London on the Southern network.
