It’s now easier than ever to buy tickets online. And if you use a key smartcard, you can even skip the ticket collection machine – just buy online, touch – and go!

Start using your account

If you don’t have an account with us already, the first step is to register. Just provide a few basic details to get started.

And if you already have an account with us, simply login and update your preferences to receive travel updates and special offers.

One account for all our brands

Southern Railway is part of GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway). When you register for an account with Southern, you can also use your details to log in to the Gatwick Express, Great Northern and Thameslink websites. If you had already signed up for an account with one of our partner brands but don’t remember your password, you can reset it.

How to use your account

Once you’ve logged in, you can find your account details in the top right hand corner of the screen under the words 'Welcome back'.

You can use your account to:

  • Buy tickets on your laptop, tablet or mobile
  • Find the best fares and discounts
  • Renew your season ticket
  • Check your booking history
  • Claim refunds
  • View the balance on any eVouchers
  • Claim Delay Repay
  • Manage your account details
  • Manage your keyGo account (if you have signed up for one)

You can also sign up to get a Key Smartcard, a contactless card for season ticket, single journeys or pay-as-you-go travel.
