Win a ‘Southern Uni Bundle’ (the “Promotion”) 

Terms of Participation in the Promotion (the “Terms”) 

1. Eligibility

• To be eligible each Participant must satisfy the following criteria (“Eligibility Criteria”):
  • be aged eighteen years or over; and
  • have a UK postal address.
• Employees of the Promotor and their families, dependants and agents are not eligible to Participate in the Promotion.
• Any entries to the Promotion that are made by persons who do not meet the Eligibility Criteria or are otherwise ineligible in accordance with clause 1.2 shall be discarded.

2. Participation

• The promotion is available on the Southern Railway website only. To participate in the Promotion, Participants must fill in the form with their details.
• By entering the Promotion, the Participant agrees to be bound by:
  • these terms;
  • Terms of use | Southern Railway;
  • the terms of National Rail Conditions of Travel

3. Timing of entries

Entries to the Promotion must be submitted between the hours of 12noon on 29th September 2025 and 11.59pm on 5th October 2025 UK time.

4. Winners and Selection

• If a Participant satisfies the Eligibility Criteria set out in 1, participates as set out in clause 2, and enters within the time specified in clause 3, the Participant will go into the draw to win the Prize.
• The Promotor will select the winners at random using an automated generator from the list of Participants entered into the draw.
• The winner will be contacted via email no later than 8th To claim the prize, the winner must respond to the email, within 48 hours, or any other period specified in our contact notice, of the notification being sent or is otherwise not available, the Prize will be forfeited by them, and the Promotor may select an alternative entrant to receive the Prize.

5. The Prize

Two winners will each receive a ‘Southern Uni Bundle’ which includes:

• A Unizone Travel Ticket for one term of University within the Brighton or Worthing Unizone areas only, a Southern branded blanket, a drawstring bag, a Southern branded Teddy Bear, a mug, a water bottle, a pen and a notebook
• Prize is non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
• The winner will need to check the Southern Railway website to verify their University/College is within the Brighton or Worthing Unizone areas. The Unizone travel ticket is only valid with a student railcard (16-25 railcard- please note we cannot accept the 26-30 railcard) and either: A valid physical student ID card (not digital or PRO versions) from: University of Sussex, University of Chichester, Plumpton College, BHASVIC, Varndean College, Hove Park Sixth Form, Dv8 Sussex, Newman College: You must have a new-style ID card with a photo and expiry date. If you don’t, a valid TOTUM physical card is required. Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA College): Requires an ID card with a photo and expiry date. If missing, you’ll need a valid TOTUM physical card. Or: A physical NUS Extra or TOTUM card (excluding digital or PRO versions), valid and not expired.
• The winner will need to send in a photo of their 16-25 student railcard and Student ID to receive the Unizone Travel Ticket. The Unizone Travel ticket will be arranged by the Promoter’s marketing team and sent via post once we verify the student railcard and physical student ID card or physical NUS Extra or TOTUM card.

6. Only one entry per person. No purchase necessary.

7. The Prize is not transferable and, unless offered by the Promotor, there will be no substitutions, or cash alternatives of, for the Prize.

8. No expenses incurred in connection with entry to or participation in this Promotion will be paid.

9. The Promotor has the right to refuse to accept any entry. 

10. All entries are subject to verification.  Incomplete, bulk, automated and third party entries (including “voting exchange”) will be disqualified.

11. Any entries that the Promoter considers (in our absolute discretion) to be dangerous, vulgar, offensive, indecent, illegal racist, copied, offensive, cruel, or fraudulent, or infringe on the rights or copyright of others will be disqualified.

12. Failure to comply with these Terms will automatically render an entry void. 

13. The Promotor does not accept any liability for any entries which are late, lost, incomplete or rendered.

14. The name and county/town of the winner will be available for one month after the prize draw closing date by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Promotor. If the winner objects to their information being made available, the winner must notify the Promotor by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Promotor at Govia Thameslink Railway Limited of 2nd Floor, 55 Degrees North, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NEL 6BL. By entering into the promotion, the Participant acknowledges that the Promotor may be required to provide the Participant’s name and county/town to the Advertising Standards Authority if required by law, even in circumstances where the Participant has requested that the Promotor does not publish the Participant’s information.

15. By entering into the Promotion, each Participant acknowledges and agrees that their Personal Data (meaning any data provided to the Promotor as part of the entry which could be used to identify the Participant) may be used by the Promotor for marketing purposes, and any other purposes described in these Terms. This includes use of Personal Data for promotional purposes by the Promotor and its partner(s). If a Participant does not consent to such use, then the Participant may withdraw their consent by sending the Promotor a notice in the manner prescribed in its Privacy Policy.

16. Except as outlined in clauses 14 and 15 above, all Personal Data will be held and used by the Promotor in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

17. Participants may print these Terms or send a self-addressed envelope to: Govia Thameslink Railway Ltd (7934306) of 2nd Floor, 55 Degrees North, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NEL 6BL, and they will be sent to you.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw this offer or amend these Terms at any time without notice.

19. In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms, the Promotion itself or any other matter relating to, or arising out of, these Terms or the Promotion, the Promoter’s decision shall be final. No written correspondence or verbal discussion will be entered into.

20. The Promotor is Govia Thameslink Railway Limited of 2nd Floor, 55 Degrees North, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NEL 6BL. This Promotion and these Terms are governed by the Laws of England and Wales and the Promoter and participants agree that the Courts of England and Wales, exclusively, shall settle disputes.
