Safety on the railway
Your safety and security is of paramount importance. Our Rail Enforcement Officers and Security personnel work around the clock, looking out for you.
CCTV
All of our stations and trains are fitted with CCTV.
Body-Worn Cameras
Many of our staff wear cameras, which record video and sound.
Unattended bags
Please don’t leave any unattended luggage on the train or on a station. Always keep your belongings with you. If you see any unattended items, report it to staff or the British Transport Police.
Keep an eye out
Be observant for people acting suspiciously, and if you have any concerns report it to a staff member or the British Transport Police. If in doubt make sure it gets checked out.
Lock your bike
When parking your bike, make sure you lock it with high-quality locks, ideally a minimum of two.
Reporting an issue
Speak to a member of staff
If you see something suspicious, speak to one of our staff on the station or on the train.
Help points
Use the Help Points located on station platforms, if you’re on a station without staff.
