Train Service Updates

See if there is any service disruption on the Southern network, check live departures and arrivals from any station or find out about any alternative routes during unplanned disruption.

Major engineering work will take place between Hastings and Ashford International from Saturday 19 October to Sunday 3 November.

Rail replacement buses will be running throughout this period.

Limited train shuttles will operate between Rye and Ashford International from Monday 21 October to Saturday 2 November.

Buses replace late night trains between Hastings and Ore / Ashford International from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 October

Engineering work is taking place between Hastings and Ashford International, closing all lines on Monday to Thursday evenings.

After 22:30 each night, buses will replace trains between Hastings and Ashford International.

Buses replace late night trains between Brighton and Worthing / West Worthing / Chichester from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 October

Routes affected:
Southern between London Victoria and Worthing / Chichester / Bognor Regis, and between Brighton and West Worthing / Portsmouth Harbour, and between Haywards Heath and Worthing

Engineering work is taking place between Brighton and Worthing, closing all lines on Monday to Thursday evenings.

After 23:30 each night, trains between London Victoria and Worthing / Chichester will be diverted to run to / from Brighton instead.

Replacement buses will run between Brighton and Worthing / West Worthing / Chichester.

Additionally, the 22:52 Portsmouth to Brighton service will terminate at Littlehampton. A replacement bus will run from Littlehampton to Brighton, starting from Littlehampton at 23:53 and calling at all stations.

Amended early morning trains in the Norwood Junction area from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18 October

Routes affected:
Southern between London Bridge and East Croydon / Caterham

Engineering work is taking place between Sydenham and East Croydon, closing various lines.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 00:17 London Bridge to Caterham train will be diverted between London Bridge and East Croydon, running later than usual, and with extended journey times. It will not call at Norwood Junction, but will call additionally at Selhurst.

The 00:35 London Bridge to East Croydon will be diverted between London Bridge and East Croydon, running later than usual, and with extended journey times. It will not call at stations via Sydenham, but will call additionally at Selhurst. A replacement bus will run from London Bridge at 00:35 to East Croydon, calling at all stations via Sydenham.

Please note that these trains run at the end of Monday to Thursday service.

The ticket vending machines are not accepting notes at Coulsdon South station.
Ham Street: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between platform 2 and the footbridge from now until further notice at Ham Street station.

This affects Southern services towards Hastings and Eastbourne. Please speak to station staff for further assistance
Hastings: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between platform 3/4 and the rest of the station from now until further notice at Hastings station.
Additional Information:
This affects Southern services services towards Ore and Ashford International as well as Southeastern Services to and from London Charing Cross. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.
Haywards Heath: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between Platform 1/2 and Footbridge from now until further notice at Haywards Heath station.
Additional Information:
This affects Southern & Thameslink services towards East and West coastway stations and Brighton. Please speak to station staff for further assistance
Haywards Heath: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between the footbridge and the entrance/exit via the multi-storey carpark from now until further notice at Haywards Heath station.
Additional Information:
This affects step-free access to the station footbridge via the multi-storey carpark, and between the levels of the carpark. Step-free access is still available via the Market Place entrances.
Queens Rd Peckham: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between the station entrance and the platforms from now until further notice at Queens Rd Peckham station.
Additional Information:
This affects all London Overground and Southern services through this station. Please speak to station staff for further assistance
Seaford: Toilets out of order

All toilets are out of order at Seaford station.
Sutton Surrey: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between Platform 4 and the footbridge from 22:23 on 30/09/2024 until further notice at Sutton Surrey station.
Additional Information:
This affects services towards Epsom Downs and some services towards London Victoria via West Croydon. Step free access is availabe via the side entrance on The Quadrant. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.
Thornton Heath: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between platform 2 and the station foot bridge from now until further notice at Thornton Heath station.
Additional Information:
This affects Southern services towards London Victoia, London Bridge and Watford Junction. Please speak to station staff for further assistance
