  • To maintain and improve the railway, Network Rail carries out regular planned engineering works on the Southern network
  • Work normally takes place at weekends or after 10 pm – but occasionally services are impacted at other times
  • Information will be available here as soon as it is available
  • Please check before travelling, and see our live departures and arrivals for up-to-the-minute information

Planned engineering work for Today

Routes affected:
Between Brighton / Haywards Heath / London Victoria and Lewes

Engineering work is taking place between Polegate and Lewes ending Friday morning, resulting in the closure of some lines.

From 22:15 until 04:50 the following morning, ending Friday morning, buses will replace trains between Eastbourne and Lewes.

Routes affected:
Between London Bridge and Selhurst

Engineering work is taking place between Streatham / Balham and East Croydon, closing some lines overnight.

As a result, the 23:54 London Bridge to Selhurst service will be diverted after Tulse Hill to terminate at Norwood Junction.

A replacement bus will run between Tulse Hill and Selhurst.

Routes affected:
Southern between London Victoria / London Bridge and Brighton Thameslink between Bedford / London Bridge and Brighton

Engineering work is taking place between Haywards Heath and Preston Park, closing lines early on Sunday and Monday mornings.

Thameslink:

Between 01:30 and 07:30 on Sunday, and between 00:30 and 04:55 on Monday, buses will replace trains between Haywards Heath and Brighton.

Southern:

Between 01:30 and 07:30 on Sunday, and between 00:30 and 04:55 on Monday, trains will not run. You can use Thameslink buses to complete your journey.
