Mayflower Park Southampton

Situated on Southampton’s waterfront, Mayflower Park is a great option if you’re looking for green spaces with exceptional views. This park can be found on Town Quay Road and is ideal for both inner-city residents and those travelling into the city for a day out – and, once you’re finished exploring, you can stop off at The Kiosk café for a bite to eat.

Riverside Park Southampton

Ranked as the number-one park in Southampton on TripAdvisor, Riverside Park is a beautiful space that’s suitable for a range of activities. Some of the most popular include walking dogs down the trail or kayaking along the river. You’ll also find pitches for football and cricket as well as a tennis court, making it the ideal spot for those looking to get active.

Families also have the choice of three play areas, too, so parents can chill out while the kids blow off some steam.

Royal Victoria Country Park Southampton

For those who love an invigorating walk with the dog, the Royal Victoria Country Park in Southampton is the best place to do it. This is one of the only parks in the city that has its own beach, which means that your dog can have a dip in the water along the way. For those that don’t want a wet pooch and sandy feet, the park also has plenty of open fields to explore.

This park isn’t just for dog walkers, though, with a range of activities to enjoy with the family. Here you’ll find a play area, a café, a gift shop and even a miniature railway that takes you on a mile-long ride around the park. The park allows for vehicle access between 8am and 9pm, so plan your visit and make the most out of your day at this wonderful park.
