Our Rover train ticket is the perfect way to save money if you’re planning on doing lots of travelling outside of rush hour times. A DaySave ticket gives you unlimited Off-Peak travel on all Southern Railway services and is available online.

When can I use my DaySave train pass?

The DaySave ticket is an Off-Peak ticket. This means you can use it at any time on Saturdays, Sundays and even on Bank Holidays for those day trips out. During the Monday to Friday period your train day pass is not valid before 10:00, or on trains that leave the following stations between 16:15 and 19:15:

  • East Croydon
  • Victoria
  • London Bridge
  • Clapham Junction

Your DaySave ticket is valid for one day and can be used for Standard Class travel only. These tickets are not valid on Gatwick Express, Thameslink, Great Northern or services from any other train operator.

When should I buy my DaySave ticket?

If you’re collecting your DaySave ticket from a Southern managed station, you should buy your ticket at least three days before you plan to travel.

Starting your journey from another train operators’ station? If this is the case, your tickets will need to be posted to you and therefore need to be booked at least five days before the day you are travelling.

Do you offer discounts and group tickets?

Group tickets are available to purchase and are valid for up to 4 people. This can be a mixture of both adults and children, perfect for those family days out. It is important to note that for your group DaySave pass to be valid, the same four people must travel together at all times.

By purchasing a DaySave pass you’re able to save money on your daily travels. This means you are unable to use any further railcard discounts on these tickets.

How can I buy my DaySave train ticket?

You can purchase your DaySave ticket online here. When booking online simply select the ‘other tickets’ tab on the booking engine.

Your tickets can be collected from Southern managed stations at least 3 days before you travel.
