Oyster cards and contactless
Avoid ticket machine queues and travel around London using an Oyster card or a debit or credit card.
It's easy to go contactless when you’re travelling in Zones 1-6 in London, and you can also use your Oyster or contactless payment card to get to Gatwick Airport.
Either buy or top up a Transport for London Oyster card or use a contactless debit or credit card to get around.
Discounts and railcards
Make the most of special offers and railcards and save money.
You can get 1/3 off the price of many tickets with:
- GroupSave – if you’re going somewhere as a group
- Railcards – families, students, service personnel and more can all save with a Railcard
You can use your Railcard and make group bookings for up to 9 people when you buy your tickets online.
Buying tickets
You can buy tickets online and collect them from the ticket machine before you travel. You can also buy them at the station from a ticket machine or staffed ticket office.
