Take your bike on board
If your event is on the weekend, feel free to bring your bike on board. Since weekends are off peak, there are no restrictions on bicycles on board.
For large cycling events, you may want to allow extra time for your journey home. If there are many passengers travelling home with cycles, we may have to implement a queuing system at the stations closest to the finish line.
If your event is on a weekday, you’ll need to follow our regular cycle policy.
British Heart Foundation London to Brighton bike ride
British Heart Foundation will once again host the London to Brighton Bike ride on Sunday 17 June raising money in the fight to end heart disease.
Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express services on the weekend of this BHF London to Brighton bike ride will have some cycle restrictions in place for the comfort and safety of everyone travelling.
Monday 18 June 2018
If intending to travel on train services from Brighton with your bike, you may experience delays as services can only hold a limited number of cycles. A queuing system will be in place at times of high demand on both days.
Our normal peak hours restrictions will be in place on Monday 18 June.
