Things to do in Bognor Regis
There’s no shortage of things to do in Bognor Regis. From the beaches to Butlin’s and everything in between, Bognor Regis is all about having good old-fashioned fun.
Head to East Beach, a spotlessly clean beach with lifeguards in summer, as well as deckchair hire and the prerequisite ice cream stalls along the promenade. Beach on the Beach on East Beach promenade is a huge sandpit perfect for little ones as it provides a safe and fun environment for them to play in under your watchful supervision.
For those who like to stay active, try your hand at paddle boarding and kayaking and admire the south coast from a different viewpoint. With its warm microclimate you’ll dry out in no time, before heading to any one of the quaint cafes or fish and chip shops that line the promenade.
The pier at Bognor Regis is the ideal place for those who like to take in the sea air without getting wet! It’s a great place for an ice cream stop and look out to sea.
There’s plenty of green spaces to visit in Bognor too. Adjacent to Aldwick beach is the stunning Marine Park Gardens. Featuring formal lawns, flowerbeds, herbaceous borders and historic shelters, it’s a beautiful picnic spot. Close to Butlin’s is the 9 hectare public parkland of Hotham Park. Home of Sir Richard Hotham, who founded Bognor Regis, this elegant Georgian Manor still stands in the park and visitors can enjoy strolling round the conservation area and arboretum or practice their hand on the putting green or crazy golf course. It’s the perfect place to let the children play and become besotted by the park’s miniature railway.
