Train Service Updates

See if there is any service disruption on the Southern network, check live departures and arrivals from any station or find out about any alternative routes during unplanned disruption.

If you have a train ticket dated from Saturday 28 February and have been affected by ongoing airline disruption, you are able to use your ticket:
- On a different day
- Earlier or later on the same day (if you have an Advance ticket)
- During the morning or evening peak (if you have an Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak ticket)
Please ensure that you have evidence of your original airline booking, along with a flight cancellation or amendment notification, ready to show staff. If you are no longer travelling due to a flight cancellation, unused tickets will be entitled to a fee-free refund.

Please note, this applies to flights from the following countries only:

Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and United Arab Emirates.

Engineering work is taking place overnight between London Bridge and East Croydon via Sydenham ending Friday morning, closing some lines.

At the end of service on Monday to Thursday evenings, trains will be amended between London Bridge and East Croydon via Sydenham.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 00:17 London Bridge to Caterham train will be diverted between London Bridge and East Croydon, running non-stop between London Bridge Selhurst and will run later than usual.

The 00:35 London Bridge to East Croydon will be replaced by a bus from London Bridge to East Croydon, calling at stations via Sydenham.

Journeys times will be increased when using replacement buses.

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Purley and Gatwick Airport, closing some lines.

At the end of service on Monday to Thursday evenings, some trains will be unable to call at Coulsdon South, Merstham and Redhill.

The 23:35 London Victoria to Horsham and the 00:08 London Victoria to Gatwick Airport trains will not call at Coulsdon South, Merstham or Redhill.

Replacement buses will run between Purley and Gatwick Airport / Horsham, calling at stations via Redhill.

Journeys times will be increased when using replacement buses.

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Balham and Battersea Park, closing some lines.

From approximately 22:00 on Monday to Thursday evenings until the end of service, trains between Battersea Park and Balham will run to an amended timetable.

No trains will call at Battersea Park towards London Victoria.

Customers for London Victoria should travel to Clapham Junction, then change for a train towards London Victoria.

Customers for Battersea Park should travel to London Victoria, then catch the next train back to Battersea Park.

The 22:10 East Croydon to Watford Junction train will terminate at Shepherds Bush.

The 23:42 Watford Junction to Clapham Junction train will not run.

The car park at Three Bridges station will be closed from Friday 20th March at 22:00 until Monday 23rd March at 04:00 - This is to enable the rail replacement bus services to operate this weekend due to planned engineering work. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The lifts will be out of order between platforms 7 & 8 and subway from 14:30 on 02/02/2026 until further notice at Watford Junction station.
