Gatwick Airport lounges: North Terminal vs South Terminal

The most important thing to check before booking a lounge is which terminal your flight leaves from. Most Gatwick airport lounges in this guide are available at both terminals, but Club Aspire is only available in the South Terminal, and Plaza Premium Lounge is only available in the North Terminal.
The North and South terminals are connected by a free shuttle, which only takes around two minutes. However, your lounge booking is for the terminal you're departing from, so don't simply choose a lounge because it has a lower price or looks appealing online.
How does lounge access at Gatwick Airport work?

You don't necessarily need to be flying business or first class to use a Gatwick Airport lounge. For the independent lounges, you can generally book access as a passenger regardless of airline or cabin class. This means someone flying economy can book a lounge in exactly the same way as someone travelling in a premium cabin.
Gatwick Express ticket holders can save on lounge access. When you book an eligible Adult Standard Class or Adult First Class Gatwick Express ticket to Gatwick Airport, you can get 20% off airport lounge access at more than 1,600 locations. The offer is available on eligible journeys from London Victoria and Brighton to Gatwick Airport, when travelling for a departing flight.
The lounge discount is not included automatically with your train ticket. After booking directly with Gatwick Express, you'll receive details of how to redeem the offer in your booking confirmation email. The lounge benefit is subject to availability and must be used for your outbound journey to Gatwick Airport.
Your booking confirmation will provide the relevant link to book your lounge access. This is the best way to see which lounges are available for your journey, as the offer provides access through the participating lounge network rather than guaranteeing entry to a particular Gatwick lounge.
What is included in lounge access at Gatwick airport?

This varies by lounge, but the main bookable lounges generally include complimentary food, selected drinks, Wi-Fi and comfortable seating.
Some also have additional facilities such as:
- Runway or airfield views
- Charging points
- TVs and newspapers
- Kids' areas
- Games rooms
- Outdoor space
- Quiet zones
- Workspaces or meeting rooms
- Table service and à la carte dining in Clubrooms
Alcoholic drinks are generally subject to age restrictions, and premium drinks such as Champagne or Prosecco may cost extra in some lounges.
